Visas & status
Can I receive sponsorship income on a Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services status in Japan?
Only if the sponsored activity itself is within Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services or separately permitted. Treating sponsorship as passive income does not help if the payment is compensation for content, promotion or other activity outside the authorized scope.
